What is Wireless Intercom?

Wireless intercoms are innovative devices designed for seamless communication between rooms or buildings, offering convenience and flexibility. Initially, intercom systems relied on wired installations, which were often expensive and required integration during construction. Retrofitting wires into existing structures is not only challenging but also significantly more costly. This limitation gave rise to the development of wireless intercom systems.

Types of Wireless Intercom Systems

Airwave-Based Systems

These systems operate over specific frequencies allocated by government agencies. While effective, they often require legal permissions to use the designated airwaves.

Powerline Communication Systems

These intercoms transmit signals using a building's existing electrical wiring, bypassing the need for additional installations while remaining dependent on power outlets.

Battery-Operated Systems

Free from power outlet constraints, battery-powered intercoms provide true portability. However, regular battery replacements are necessary to maintain performance.

Why Choose Wireless Intercoms?

Cost-Effective

Eliminating the need for wired installations, wireless systems reduce setup costs significantly, making them an economical choice for households and businesses.

Portability and Convenience

Wireless intercoms can be placed anywhere within their operational range. Unlike wall-mounted systems, these units allow users the flexibility to move them as needed.

Ease of Use

Wireless intercoms are user-friendly, requiring minimal setup. Plug them into an AC outlet or use battery-powered models, and they’re ready to function.

Enhanced Communication Range

While most wireless intercoms offer a range of up to 1,000 feet (304.8 meters), Thodukonics Wireless Intercom outshines the competition with an impressive range of up to 6,500 feet (2 kilometers), ideal for large homes, workplaces, and even outdoor use.

Instant Communication

With a simple push of a button, users can communicate effortlessly across floors or buildings. This is especially helpful for parents, children, seniors, and business teams.

Our Power Line Intercom

Thodukonics invented a new technique for wireless communication via 100~250 volt AC electric lines in 1990 and started marketing it under the brand name Powerfone. The main advantage of this advanced intercommunication equipment, the Powerfone, is that it requires no extra wiring as it can work through the existing electric power supply wires. It functions in any country with an AC voltage between 90V and 250V. You can get the best performance and long range when the Powerfones are connected to the same power distribution transformer and same phase lines.

Additionally, you can plug our intercom into a DUAL Phase 220V AC outlet to avoid phase issues (110V region). In comparison, normal telephones work via telephone lines (wire), whereas our intercom works via 110V or 230V electric supply lines, eliminating the need for additional wiring. The use of high-quality components, precisely tuned electronic oscillator circuits, and advanced FM technology in our systems enables you to achieve digital clarity and long range, far superior to similar products available in the global market.

Strict quality control in the manufacturing process ensures the durability and best operational performance of these products. In fact, there are no equivalent products in the market for some of our models. Installation of the system is very simple: just plug the intercom into a 100~240V AC outlet in the required locations, and the system is ready for communication. You can easily relocate the system whenever and wherever you need it.

You can also plug our intercom into a "DUAL Phase" 220V AC outlet to avoid phase issues. Available models include: Long range hotline wireless home intercom systems, cordless telephone call-transferring intercoms, wireless multi-channel intercom systems supporting up to 1000 stations, and wireless multi-line EPAX. If you are not connected to the same transformer, we also offer single-core wire wired intercom systems.

Our latest 900MHz or 2.4GHz wireless intercom systems do not require power lines for communication. For more details, click on the specific models. FM wireless intercoms are also known as Mains power intercom, Mesh Talk intercom, Door Entry intercom, household power intercom, household electricity circuit intercom, domestic power intercom, wall power intercom, line power intercom, AC power plug-in intercom, hotline wireless interphone, grid power intercom, wireless security intercom, plug-and-play intercom, car intercom system, apartment doorbell, and vehicle intercom system.

Note: You get the best performance and long range when Powerfones are connected on the same power distribution transformer and phase lines.
